A poker player should always act in politeness and compliance with the people around him. The etiquettes have to be followed by the aspiring players, the beginners and also the experienced players. Being well mannered not only attracts the descent crowd but also makes the game more enjoyable for everyone to play. Some of the unspoken rules that need to be followed while sitting at the poker table are:
Be polite: Nothing is more important than being nice to people, even if you are losing do not burst out your anger, be polite to the winners alternatively. Losing is never fun and it can be very frustrating at times, but if you use obscene language and get dragged into verbal battles with your opponents, you will not only be distracted and play accordingly but other players will remember this behavior for a very long time.
Be Patient But Not Slow: Patience s very important in teh game of Poker. Never try to rush another player with your words or attempt to bully them into hurrying up. It is important to be patient, but playing too slow will only annoy the other players. .
Keep Your Hands Off Of The Chips: After you have won a game, don’t show your eagerness by quickly putting the chips in your pocket. You should resist your urge to grab your chips as none is going to steal them from you.
Avoid Throwing Your Chips: Don’t rudely throw your chips into the pot. Players will have a hard time seeing what your bet was. Some players use this to get a response from the players. Avoid this by deciding on the amount of chips you want to bet and placing them in nice stacks and in one action. Don’t make the players think you’re betting more than you’re actually betting.
Be organized: Don’t make a mess of your chips. Organize them in neat stacks and put the high value chips in the front so that everyone can see it and nobody has to guess how much you have.
