To the lay person , GE Fanuc PLC or fanuc ge may not mean a lot. However, to those who are involved in the technical field, these words can make all the difference in knowing what part of a technology component needs to be serviced as well as how to fix it.
You see, try as we may to ignore the fact that automation is responsible for much of what we are able to accomplish, this very same matter is true. The very same technology that we know and enjoy today has evolved over the years and has allowed us the opportunity to not only cut down the time that it takes to produce a piece of equipment, piece of furniture or some other item, but it has also afforded companies a larger return on investment.
Think about what working in a factory is like. In the past, factory workers may have had to plan, design and implement everything by hand, which took an extremely long time. Not only this, but in order to move production along and sort of speed up the process, these same workers needed to work long, arduous hours for little pay. As a business owner years ago, you would have had to hire a lot of people to get a particular job done.
Nowadays, thanks to automation and technology, we have machines which can knock out most of the work that used to be completed by hand. Things such as building cars, for example, illustrate just how this can work. Now, instead of hiring a dozen workers to work on constructing one component of a vehicle, you can have a machine that does the work of all twelve of those potential employees.
Sure, the downside is that there are less people employed, but eh positives seem to outweigh the negatives as the employer can afford to pay workers better payoff for the work that they put in. This is due, in large part, to automation.
